FAQ’s
What are you looking for in a story?
We are looking for great women who have inspiring stories, experiences, and
knowledge to share that will motivate other women to become all they can be.
Is my contact information in the book?
Without a doubt! We want every reader who resonates with your story to be able to locate you easily. This is why we include every authors name, business name, website, phone number and bio as well as any other relevant information you choose to include.
Once I am chosen, what is the next step?
Once you become a co-author, we will advise you of all co-author training calls,
deadlines and technical support via email and phone calls, when needed.
Marketing calls and editorial calls are held to answer any questions you have
and to assist you during the process.
I plan on writing my own book, will this still benefit me?
Absolutely. Many of our co-authors have previously self published and find this
is the perfect marriage to further promote the book they previously published
or are in the process of writing. With our program, you will reach a very large audience that you may not have access to on your own.
How can I tell if this is the best investment for me and my business?
Being an author can be a door-opener to promote your business on radio and TV
not to mention the potential for free publicity. Once people find out that you are
a published author, it really changes their perception of you. The book gives you
tremendous credibility which is a powerful secret to success and greater profitablity.
You also have an entire group of co-authors promoting the same book, your book,
and thereby YOU.
How will I sell my supply of books?
There are so many options here. Of course there is the internet, your personal,
website, live events, fairs, etc. We will teach you many techniques for ensuring
you will sell your copies and even need an additional supply.
If I sell all my books, can I buy more?
Yes, you may. We always pass on our wholesale price to our co-authors.
Can I use an excerpt from my current or future book as my story?
We welcome content from a current or future book. That makes for a great cross promotion tool for you.
Who makes the money on all the books sold?
Unlike traditional publishing, whomever sells them. If you sell all your books,
you make all the money. Remember, this is about more than selling books
though. It is about being a published author and leveraging this book to
generate more attention to you and your business.
I have always wanted to write, but I am not sure of my writing skills, can I still join the team?
Again, we are a team of coaches, with our specialty being author coaching.
We will help you find your writer’s voice and we also have a wonderful staff
of editors. If this is your dream, we’ll help you to see it become a reality.
People are telling me I shouldn’t have to pay to get my story published,
why does your program work this way?
When you explore submitting your manuscript to a traditional publisher, you will
find that most manuscripts are never read. However, if you are lucky enough to have
a traditional publisher sign you as an author, they may pay you a small amount
per book sold. It takes a lot of sales to make money with a traditional publisher.
Contrary to what you may think, you are still expected to market your own book
because that is not what publishers do. Their job is publishing not selling!
With Wake Up Women, we take pride in teaching our authors the ultimate skill -
how to attract clients and customers, and how to use the book as an
effective marketing tool for success and receive instant credibility.
